I went to Papa Bear Arch and Papa Bear Cave with my mom and best friend. It starts out on the Grays Arch trail (for more information see: Don’t Get Impaled at Grays Arch!) which is very easy and manicured. After we pasted Grays Arch, we hiked behind the massive thing and continued on our hike. The trail immediately became narrower and more overgrown. We ended up bushwhacking a lot. It took a few wrong turns but, after a while we went on the trail that my best friend, Melody, suggested. Let's just say, Melody was right. We finally found the right trail that led to Papa Bear Arch. Just a little ways from the arch, we found Papa Bear Cave. After enjoying the beauty of these to hidden treasures, we set of to find the next amazing arch! To continue the awesome journey see: Sexton Arch is Simply Adorable! Hope you enjoy my posts!

ReplyDeleteCute blog, and cute girls. The lizard - not so cute, but fun. I am glad you got to go out and enjoy the clear air and the fresh spring foliage and flowers. I love the heart hands!
ReplyDeleteThat is a goofy face pose, I have to say. :)

DeleteLeah, I want to come to Kentucky and tour these incredible trails with you and your family! I need to catch up on your blogs! Wow, the pictures are incredible (I love the wildflowers as well as the formations, caves and arches.) And the descriptions of your adventures are just as vivid. Keep up the great work! DeleteI'm not like Dad. I think that lizard is adorable. He's just plain wrong.
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteFrom Mom-I worried that we wouldn't find this arch. We didn't have many instructions, and it was truly hidden. I am grateful that you and Melody persisted and helped me find it. You guys are great hikers.
ReplyDeleteThanks for staying positive!
ReplyDeleteLeah! I have gotten behind on your posts, but I do enjoy reading them! I love that you help plan adventures with your mom!
